This Cookie Policy explains how Coursino (http://localhost:3000) uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device by your browser. "Similar technologies" include session storage, which lets a site remember information in your browser while a tab is open.
2. What we use
We keep things minimal. Our site uses only strictly necessary storage and a few preference items that remember what you chose.
When you enter your access token, we set one cookie called store_member. It keeps you signed in, it can't be read by scripts on the page (it is HttpOnly), and it stops working on your access end date.
To avoid counting the same visit twice, your browser keeps an item called store_visit_v1 in session storage until you close the tab.
If you subscribe to the newsletter or close its pop-up, your browser keeps nl-state and nl-dismissed in local storage so we don't ask again. They last up to 30 days, or until you clear your browser data. The pop-up itself is timed with nl-t0 and nl-popup-shown in session storage (it appears once, after about 2 minutes on the site) and they disappear when you close the tab.
While you chat with our assistant, bot-chat in session storage keeps the conversation as you browse, until you close the tab.
If you are a member, the lessons you tick as complete are remembered in local storage under names starting with course-progress:, until you clear your browser data.
We also keep simple, anonymous visit counts (for example "how many people viewed this page today"). They are stored as totals only: no cookies, no IP addresses and no personal identifiers. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, we don't count your visit at all.
The site owner signs in to a private dashboard using a secure cookie (store_admin) that is only ever set for the owner. Visitors and members never receive it.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
3. Third parties
Our host (Cloudflare) may set technical cookies or process technical request data needed to deliver and secure the site.
4. Managing storage
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you do, you will need to enter your access token again, but the site will otherwise keep working.
5. Changes
If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
